Wellington Hotel

Bulwark, Brecon LD3 7AD, UK – 01874 625225

The Wellington Hotel in Brecon has a very nice hotel bar. The staff are very helpful. I overheard their conversations with people staying overnight in the hotel and they are most helpful. I also looked at the menus for breakfast lunch and evening meals. It looked most appetizing! I asked one of the staff working behind the bar the average room tariff if you wanted to stay here. It is £79.00 and that includes breakfast. Not to excessive. Seems like a nice hotel to stay at in Brecon.

Great staff, but they need more. The people looked overworked and it showed. Little else to fault at this great hotel in an amazing location. We would stay again. Thanks again kev!

HF Holidays Ltd, Nythfa House

Brecon Beacons, Brecon, Powys LD3 7NN, UK – 0345 470 7558

Excellent place to stay if you are walking, lovely, friendly and helpful staff and plenty of food

Lovely environment and food from the resident chef fit for a West End restaurant

The George Hotel

1 George St, Brecon LD3 7LD, UK – 01874 620250

On arrival, staff extremely helpful. Room, air conditioned a blessing in the current heatwave. Ensuite was excellent, walk in shower, unbelievably good value for its facilities. No breakfast included in price, however, very reasonable extensive menu available in restaurant. Would we go there again - absolutely, cannot wait.

The poshest spoons I've ever visited and I've been to a fair few wether spoons across the country! Also one of the wether spoons who offers pizza which looked amazing (brother had one not myself), toilets spotless. The outside table area is a really nice added feature fortunately it was sunny on our visit and we got to sit outside and enjoy the surroundings. offers competitive rates for any type of hotel, from small independent hotels to a five star luxury ones. I This said I was told by a hotelier that the way to get cheap rooms is to ring up the week before and ask for the weekend rate. You can usually get an absolute bargain as they will trying to book all the rooms that they have not sold! Could be worth a try!

Good pub food at very reasonable prices with excellent service and always great beer

The Three Horseshoes Inn

Groesffordd, Brecon LD3 7SN, UK – 01874 665672

From the outside you might wonder, but it is worth it. The modern interior has been renovated over time to now be a pleasant restaurant retaining a bar area for a drink. The menu has your traditional steaks and fish and chips along side more adventuous dishes.Portions are ample and I have never been disappointed. Rarely make it to dessert but when I have they too have been good. Best to book as very popular. Returned for my birthday dinner and was not disappointed. A few new things on the menu to try including my Japanese starter. Interesting and very different. Finished with a rich dark chocolate torte complete with a candle. Just been to try the new spring menu. We had mussels and smoked quail followed by lamb and beef shin. As good as ever!

Stylish country pub. Ordered gin & tonics which were excellent probably best of the weekend and quite a few were sampled. Wish we had stayed for food which looked and smelled delicious. If we return will definitely stay for food and the G & T's obviously.

10 The Struet, Brecon LD3 7LR, UK

Been a property owner advertising through GA since we first started six odd years ago. Since the demise of owners direct these guys are the last major site that leaves things in the owners hands without any ridiculousness. Can't recommend James and Denise highly enough. Bed & Breakfast Accommodation plus Guesthouses

Ty Helyg Guest House (Bed and Breakfast)

39 Watton, Brecon LD3 7EG, UK – 01874 623321

The most amazing place to stay and the most welcoming guests you could ever wish to meet. I stayed for a week and I was made to feel as if it was a home from home. The room was immaculate, the poached eggs are the best and breakfast in general was fantastic. Such a comfy and lovely room with the best of hosts!!

Ty Helyg was a great B&B for us. We had a spacious room, or rather two rooms, with a large ensuite attached. Rooms were clean, bright, airy. Christine and John were delightful hosts, offering touring advice and even doing some on- line research to help our genealogical exploration in the area. Breakfast options included cold and hot options, full English breakfast, good breads and fruit. A definitely good choice. Try for the top floor room with ensuite.

Flag and Castle House

11 Orchard St, Brecon LD3 8AN, UK – 01874 625032

Absolute gem of a find in Brecon. Lauren and Sean both really friendly and welcoming hosts. Full of lots of suggestions as to places to go, walks to do and local eateries. Superbly clean rooms, serviced daily. Very much a homely feel. Also as a fellow biker, Sean was happy for us to park up in his garage. Highly recommended

The best place to stay in Brecon. Lovely rooms, nice garden, run by a lovely couple.

Grange Guest House (Bed & Breakfast)

22 Watton, Brecon LD3 7ED, UK – 01874 624038

Fantastic quaint and cosy B&B. Hosts are excellent, fantastic breakfast range and rooms are spacious and comfortable. Central to plenty of outdoor activities in the Brecon range and less than a minute walk from historical Brecon town. Will visit again gladly.

My husband and I stayed at the Grange Guest house for two nights (Dec 2017) to attend a family wedding in the area. The guest house has been tastefully remodelled and decorated to enhance the period features of the building and Neil and Robert are very friendly and attentive hosts. The bedroom/ensuite was clean contemporary and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, I particularly liked the use of locally sourced ingredients and condiments. I would highly recommend the Grange to anyone visiting Brecon.

Llanddew Campsites and Caravan Parks

Bishops Meadow Caravan and Camping Park

The Meadows Bishops Meadow, Hay Rd, Brecon LD3 9SW, UK – 01874 610000

Great campsite and staff where all really happy and helpfull and the toilets and showers are big and clean and there is more than 1 block of them. We will Deffinetly return there the restaurant does really nice food and drink and with plenty of seats and an amazing view of the mountains in the distance. I would suggest a torch for the toilet walk at night as around the site there isn't any intrusive lights so it is a bit dark but around the toilet block has lights and all the people around where nice and friendly aswell

Love it there lovley people always kept lovely and clean plenty of places to go glad we moved there peace and quiet x

Brecon Beacons Caravan and Motorhome Club Site

Brecon LD3 7SH, UK – 01874 623325

Wow what a great Site, super clean , well maintained & friendly Staff, it's everything you hope it's going to be when you make the booking. The Site is also in a great location for those who fancy a bit of adventure, there are plenty of things to see and do close by. We had the most amazing long weekend here.

Lovely site with generous sized pitches. Well stocked shop and friendly staff. Facilities were great and kept clean. Good dog walk and children’s play areas. You can walk to Brecon along the tow path approx 1 mile. We had a fully serviced hard standing pitch. We will definitely be back.

Priory Mill Farm

Hay Rd, Brecon LD3 7SR, UK

Wonderful. Quiet, calm setting. Right by the river but at a raised level so no midges! Everything has been beautifully thought out. Very close to town but when on site you could be on another world. Friendly available hosts who are always there but never on top of you watching. Facilities are more than adequate and we will be going back!

Stayed here for 2 nights whilst visiting the Beacons for a cycling holiday. Lovely quiet campsite which we were welcomed to by the owners who live on site in a beautiful farmhouse. I would say it's more 'glamping' than simply camping - excellent facilities including shower block, washing up and laundry area, freezer storage, bike shed and even phone charging sockets! Campfires, eggs and other amenities are available from the farmhouse on request so be sure to take advantage of a cosy fire by the river. Only a 5 minute walk down the road into the town of Brecon for a supply run and or eating out. This was a perfect base from which to explore the beautiful surrounding area.
